CheckPoint: Legal and Ethical Issues Confronting the Education of ELL’s Educators all over the country are striving to find ways to help their English Language Learners to succeed. However, there are many legal and ethical conflicts that hinder great educators from doing their job. Many have looked for ways to meet the needs of the English Language Learners without breaking the law. An educators job is to ensure that all students are taught equally and giving the same fair chance at education. Laws sometimes prevent educators from doing what they should to ensure the success of students whom are learning English. More schools are being pushed to find ways to help their students who are learning English become successful. Some states take away from the bilingual programs and force these children to learn English.
