Keeping these students challenged enough to desire to learn is in itself a challenge but can be overcome by channeling these particularly talented students in gifted programs. This is done by intervening in the student’s education early on and assuring that they are placed properly. Furthermore, in order for teacher to intervene in the student’s education they first need to be identified as being gifted. Identifying gifted students is not simple. There are signs that a student may be gifted. Some gifted students can be disruptive in class because they are bored with the lesson content due to the child’s mastery of the material.
