Unformatted text preview: 11 M ock I EP r s. Nanez ED 222 izabeth Carlson The name of the student under consideration for diagnosis of a learning disability is Bella Vallini. Currently she is 5 years old and in Kindergarten. Bella is identified as having autism, which is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills. Additionally, she becomes overwhelmed by large numbers of people exceeding 4 or 5 and shows her frustration by covering her ears and rocking her body. However, she does enjoy playing with one student in particular by the name of Alaina. Furthermore, when Bella is asked to use imagination she is not capable of grasping the concept and chooses not to participate and watches as other students as they play. On some occasions, Bella gives the participate and watches as other students as they play....
