Week 3 Checkpoint Modern Challenges in Immigration I decided on the Chinese immigrant group. If I were an immigrant, I would want to immigrate to the United States is full of all kinds of different opportunities that are very helpful to everyone if they want them. If I felt that I would have a better life in the United States then I would go ahead and apply for citizenship. I would wait until I was able to leave my home country and be able to pass all the preferences needed. I think the process would be difficult to me. The test is what would get me because there is a lot of information you would have to learn. I think if I give myself enough time I will study. 1) Should United States government policy favor certain kinds of immigrants? I do not think the United States government should not favor certain kinds of immigrants. Every immigrant should be treated equally and given the same opportunities. If they all meet the

The richest? I do not thin citizenship should be just given out. It should not matter how bad someone needs citizenship or how much money they have. They need to all follow the rules just like everyone else who needs and wants citizenship. I also do not think talent or money has anything to do with becoming a citizen. 3) Should applicants from certain countries be given priority? I do not think applications should be given priority based on the country the applicant is coming from. They should only be priority is a threat is sensed from the applicant and they need to deny them citizenship....
