MG365: Week 6 Homework Randall Hall 1. If you completed the LEAD self instrument, would you be able to assess your leader's style? why, or Why not? The LEAD process consists of having managers throughout the organization complete the LEAD Self instrument (how they perceive their own leadership style). At the same time, each of these managers employees, supervisor, and several associates or peers fill out the LEAD Other instrument. Once the data has been analyzed, a LEAD Profile is prepared for each individual manager. The profile gives managers an opportunity to see if there is any significant difference between how they perceive their own leadership style and how others in the environment perceive their style. (text, p. 217) Since the LEAD Self instrument is an assessment of your own leadership style, and the LEAD Others instrument is others’ assessment of your own leadership style, you would not be able to asses your leader’s style by completing the LEAD Self instrument. 2.
