Wise Judgment Scenario 2 Wise Judgment Scenario I chose this scenario because I could relate better to the scenario because I was once a 17-year-old girl before. In the scenario that I chose, I will discuss how each of the five components of wise judgments could apply in this scenario. Then, I will make a decision based on the five components. A teenage girl is “in love” with her 17-year-old boyfriend. He is encouraging her to have sex with him saying that he will make sure they only have “protected” sex. Factual knowledge is the first of the five components, which make up the wise judgments are. This includes knowledge about human nature, interpersonal relations, and social norms. A girl of 17 probably does know about some human nature but she does not any have real knowledge of human life though. If she knew more about human nature, she would know about the nature of men, which would help her to decide. Procedural knowledge is the second component, which make up the wise judgment components. Since this does involves strategies for dealing with life and problems and weighing goals, methods of handling conflict, and ways of offering advice, therefore a 17-year-old girl would not be able to do this because young people tend to react first and think it through later. Except on the rare occasion when they tend to act out of character and do what is right instead of following the crowd. Lifespan contextualism Knowledge is the third component, which make up the
