Personality Assessment and Theories 2 Personality Assessment and Theories Personality assessments provide psychologists with beneficial insight into the human mind, such as why people behave way that they do. There are four types of theories that are used to assess personalities, each with their own corresponding methods of assessing the personality: psychodynamic, humanistic, trait, and cognitive-social learning. The personality assessment test did reveal many diverse things, which I did not know about my own personality. I think that the test gave me a good insight on my personality as well. According to the Jung personality assessment, my personality is type results are: ISTP; which means that I am private, and I have trouble describing my feelings. In addition, I am not very affectionate, and I have loner tendencies. I am disorganized, messy, and I often fear
