Proposal Background An efficient and well designed public transportation system is an essential component of a large metropolitan area. It is enables the movement of goods and people from one destination to another. It influences the neighborhood life, aids the economic growth and provides easier access to essential services required by the community. A well planned and efficient public transportation system saves fuel while reducing congestion and enhances personal opportunities by enabling individuals have access to work, schools, libraries and socializing. It also saves us money by reducing the amount spent on buying cars and maintaining them. It reduces gasoline consumption which will in turn reduce the carbon polluting the air that we breathe.
