A1, A17 Summary As consumer’s tastes start to change, the beer industry is taking a toll. Consumers are becoming more interested in wines and spirits, as well as imported beers. The American brewers are starting to see slumps in sales, and so Molson Coors and SABMiller are coming together in order to battle with Anheuser-Busch, which is currently dominating the market for beer sales. It is expected to be completed by the end of next year. The merger will give both companies equal share in voting power. A main point presented said that it will be important for the merger and help business because about 60% of the places selling Miller also sells Coors product, so it will be a “one-stop shop” for distributors. Also, it is said that coming together will save a total of around $500 million dollars for the companies from middle men and production costs.
