Persuader’s Paper The Persuaders is a video made by the Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) regarding of the many different types of trends and changes in the advertizing industry. I thought that the Persuader videos were very interesting and informative overall. There are many points that were brought up in the videos that I have never thought about or seen from their perspective before. I personally work for a market research company, and although I’m not on the forefront of many of the points established in the video, I have seen some of the things they tried both succeed and fail in our own company throughout the years. One of the areas I found particularly interesting was when they showed the high level employees of a company being put in the foreground of a product’s placement in a motion picture. The example used was from the movie “Castaway”, where the company Fed Ex almost becomes a character in the story. Their brand is flaunted all over the movie, being a savior at times for the movies main character, as well as leading him
