HW 4 1) I think bottled water might be a bit of a marketing scam. Many studies have been conducted on water coming into our homes vs. bottled water, and many of the studies found that tap water is as clean and drinkable as any bottled water. I do use bottled water on an occasional basis when not at home; mainly because I find the taste to be crisper and better than any other water I probably have access to outside my home. However, if I am in my own home, I have a filter attached to my faucet that makes it just as well as any bottled water. The industry of course uses plastic bottles and although many people do recycle them after use, there will be an amount that gets disposed of and will eventually degrade, breakdown and could be a hazard to our environment in the future. 2) Going “green” usually refers to becoming more environmentally conscious and doing things that will help the environment. The company that I work for has started to go green by limiting the amount of paper products we send out to our customers and encouraging them to use our website for instances like surveys and our monthly newsletter. We as individuals can become more green by doing similar things; making sure we always recycle any recyclable products; using
