BUS 431 1) Some of the major business headlines the week of 02/17 – 02/23 in the Wall Street Journal were as follows: 02/17: Nissan Says Slow Rollout Of Leafs To Continue Until April; 2/18: A Stimulus Plan Success Story; 2/19: Citi Sets Up Profit Share Plan; 2/20: Samurai Bonds In Spotlight As Investors Look For High Yields; 2/21: Bank Of America Card Unit Takes $20.3 Billion Regulatory Charge; 2/22: Home Depot Profit Rises 72%; 2/23: JP Morgan Raises $1.2 Billion For Digital Growth Fund. 2) The three major companies from the headlines I chose were Citi, Bank of America and JP Morgan. The Citi article “Citi Sets up Profit Share Plan” described how Citigroup Inc. has put a new profit-sharing plan in place for their top executives that will give them a share of the company’s profits over the next two years. This will allow those executives the chance at almost $12 million dollars if the company earns a pretax profit of about 12 billion dollars, which is lower than its current profit in 2010 of about $13 billion dollars. The Bank of America article “Bank of America Card Unit Takes $20.3 Billion Regulatory Charge” showed how bank of America is taking a $20.3 Billion dollar write-down
