CASE STUDY OF THE GOOGLE COMPANY 2 Introduction Google Limited Liability Company is a globally renowned technology based organization. It’s an American multinational company whose area of specialization is on internet related products and services. The services and products offered by the Google multinational company include: cloud computing, search engine, technologies of online advertising as well as hardware and software products. The co- founding chief executive officer of the Google company was known as Sunday Pichai. It has been granted a lot of credits for its exemplary services and products it offers to its users (clientele).Therefore, the thesis statement of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive case study of the Google Company as far as its innovations and Intrapreneurship are concerned. History of the Google Company The history of the present day, Google Company can be traced back to the year 1995. This is the year when two students who were pursuing computer science studies at Stanford University started working on a computer program known as BackRub. The two students were known as Sergey Bin and Larry Page ( Jarvis, 2011) . The compute program which the two students were working on was a search engine that could leverage backlink analysis for the tracking and recording data on the internet domain. The term “BackRub” was a derivation from the algorithms that computed the number of back-links included by a web page. Moreover, the jewel of BackRub was a system of data collection called PageRank. This system was used for assigning the ranking of a website. It could do that by summing up the number of pages, mixing the importance of those pages, and consecutively linking it back to the initial web page. The prevailing pair utilized discounted parts of a computer and had their credit cards maxed out before Andy Becholsheim who was a co-founder CEO of the Sun Microsystems. Becholsheim wrote a check to Google incorporation for 100, 000 US Dollars to get up and run the company by the year 1998 which is this the period when Google was formally incorporated. Thus, Becholsheim wrote a check instantly after viewing an early product of Google demo on the front porch of the professor at Stanford University. Fortunately, soon cash started to flow in and Jeff Bezos was marked as an early investor, and Google started to move to the peak of the internet pyramid of the search engine. The search engine was officially launched way back in the yeah, 1999 and this was the same year when Page and Bryn established the first-ever offices of Google in Menlo Park, Ca. The garage belonged to Susan Wojcicki who was a pioneer member of staff and is currently the Chief Executive Officer for Google. The co-founding mission of the Google Company was very simple and precise. It
