Mark Wiegerton 03/01/06 approximately 9:50 a.m., I (Inv. MARK WIEGERT of the CALUMET co.SHERIFF'S DEPT.) along with Special Agent TOM FASSBENDER from the DEpT. OFCRIMINAL INVESTIGATION at Agent FASSBENDER did contact BARB JANDA whowould be BRENDAN's mother on her cell phone. Agent FASSBENDER requested BARB,spermission to speak with BRENDAN. BARB did grant him permission to speak withBRENDAN. Agent FASSBENDER also informed BARB that we would liki to transportBRENDAN to the MANITOWOC CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT. where we could do a tapedinterview. Again BARB agreed to allow us to do that.At approximately 10:00 a.m., we did arrive at the MISHICOT HIGH SCHOOL. We did meetwith the Dean of Students and informed him of our wish to meet with BRENDAN and told himwe had permission to take BRENDAN to the MANITOWOC CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT. in orderto speak with him.At approximately 10:05 a.m., BRENDAN did present himself in the office area of the highschool. We asked BRENDAN to then go with us to the squad car, which was parkedimmediately in front of the MISHICOT HIGH SCHOOL. At this point an audiotape recordingwas activated.At approximately 10:10 a.m., I did read BRENDAN his Miranda Rights from the Waming andWaiver of Rights form, which will be included in this report. BRENDAN stated he understoodhis rights and also stated that he wished to speak with us. We informed BRENDAN that wewere going to go to the MANITOWOC CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT., and BRENDAN agreed withthat decision. It should be noted that BRENDAN did sign the Waiver of Rights form and alsoinitialed both areas, which I had read to him.After leaving the high school, we did speak with BRENDAN about a pair ofjeans, which we hadpreviously learned about that had, what appeared to be, bleach stains on them. We askedBRENDAN if anybody was at his residence. BRENDAN stated that he did not believe so, butthe residence would be open. We then asked BRENDAN if it would be okay to go to hisresidence and retrieve the jeans. BRENDAN agreed to go with us to his residence and retrievethe jeans.At approximately 10:18 a.m., we did arrive at BRENDAN's residence on Avery Rd. whereBRENDAN and Agent FASSBENDER went inside the residence. It should be noted at that timeI did receive a phone call and was unable to go into the residence with BRENDAN and Aeent
