Unformatted text preview: STA 4702/5701 Homework 2 Due by 5pm on February 23 Data Analysis Format for Data Analysis Reports As I mentioned in class • I will no longer accept homeworks via email unless it’s an emergency. • Reports should be around 5-10 pages long. • Do not include SAS code, but save it in case there is a grading dispute. • Include SAS output only sparingly. If the output is succinct and just what you need, you may include it, but don’t include pages of SAS output. Instead, organize the output in tables or graphs. • Graphs should be no larger than is necessary to see it clearly and convey the information, usually no more than about 1/4 of the page. Often it can be smaller than that. • The report should be divided up into sections as outlined in the syllabus. Data Management and Import Hint The two data sets for this assignment are on the website as text files. You may have trouble getting SAS to read them from a data step . The reason for this is that the text files are tab delimited but may also have some space delimitation. The easiest way to fix this is to open up Excel, gobut may also have some space delimitation....
