CGS 2585 – Desktop/Internet Publishing Spring 2011 - Syllabus Course Prerequisites: CGS 1060C Class Meets: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:30 – 2:20 pm in HEC 104 Course Objective: This course will expose you to the world of desktop/internet publishing. We’ll deal with XHTML coding, including the use of images and sound. Advanced page design using CSS will also be covered in the course. The goal of the course is to provide you with the tools to develop and maintain professional websites. Text : There is no required textbook for the course. Online notes will be provided that cover the material that will be presented in the course. The notes will be available both on the course website listed above as well as WebCourses. Grading: Three exams will be given, two regular exams and a final exam (comprehensive). Exams are given once – be there as there are no dropped test scores. There will be four or five related projects plus some assignments. Assignment and project submission guidelines will be given later. The assignments and projects are to be
