Brittani Richter Deaf Panel I attended the deaf panel that silent raiders had on Friday November 19, 2010 at 7 pm in the Student Union Building. The panel consisted of a deaf man, hard of hearing student, and a coda. They were all very friendly and welcomed all questions from not only the speaker of the event but also from students in the crowd. The panel was on top of the stage with an interpret there interpreting English into ASL for deaf individuals in the crowd to be able to partake in the event as well. Then there were a few other interpreters sitting right in front of the panel, one would interpret English into ASL for the deaf and hard of hearing guys and another one interpreting ASL into English for the audience. It made the communication barrier easier and prevent any miscommunication that could have occurred. There was also not really any difficulty communicating between us because they were there to help. The deaf man was named Mike. He actually has three boys that
