Source Analysis: Discuss George Kennan’s views of the Soviet Union as expressed in his 1946 telegram.
George Keenan’s views of the Soviet Union expressed in his 1946 telegram while he was
stationed in Moscow became a framework for Americas Cold War foreign policy. Kennan
viewed that the Soviets were on the assertive power and control hungry on their views in foreign
policy. He also believed that everything that they were doing was to strengthen the Soviet Power
