1 Assignment: Bias, Rhetorical Devices, and Argumentation What are some examples of bias, fallacies, and specific rhetorical devices in this speech? This speech is very rich of fallacies, bias statements and rhetorical devices. Even in the Introduction of Charles Foster Kane, the announcer openly used fallacies pertaining to the Opponent in this campaign. The entire speech was full of finger pointing and comparison. So With that being said I would like to point out where the fallacies, bias, and rhetorical devices take over his speech. For example, the fallacies I have come across were apple polishing, where he Promised to protect the under paid, the under privileged, and the under fed. In the speech, Charles Foster Kane also used a strong ad hominen, where it was stated in the introduction that He would rid the evil domination of Boss Jim Getty. That statement was a very strong fallacy Against his opponent. There were a few rhetorical devices that stood out to my attention. For Example, the alliteration he used where he spoke of a slum child, a working man, and ordinary
