Urinary System Major concept Our body is not a self contained system. In order to fulfill the continuous needs of our body and to maintain the homeostasis we must bring in resources (such as nutrients, oxygen and water) from outside. However, during metabolic activities many waste or toxic substances are produced which must be eliminated from the body. . Some toxic products should be eliminated in the diluted form because they are too toxic. This diluted form of fluid is called urine. Urine is made by kidneys. In this lab you will study organs which make urine are parts of the urinary system. Once again you should try to under stand that how each organ that you study participates in the production of uine.
