Axia College Material Appendix A David Bland HUM/111 3/31/11 Fernando Javier Franco Midterm Exam Access the Week Four Electronic Reserve Readings located under the materials section of your student website. Read this week’s Electronic Reserve Readings. Write a paragraph of approximately 100 words for each section listed below. 1. Using the critical thinking skills you have gained so far and referring to the materials provided for this assignment, identify two possible strategies that Thomas Hutchinson or Samuel Adams likely used to develop and improve their thinking as those historical events unfolded prior to taking a stand and acting according to their beliefs. I would think that the strategies they used could be a whole lot of different strategies but, I defiantly think that one that they both used was the Pros and Cons strategie. This is why they were both apart of the Boston Tea Party Movement and were both governors of Massachusetts. Another way of creative thinking that could have been used visualization. Visualizing the “win” or “success” is a critical thinking skill I use daily if I cannot see myself doing whatever it is then maybe I won’t ever do it. This is what Sam and Thomas could have used to be affective in society. Explain the importance of building a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea Party. When looking at such an historical event that happened in our history you can’t help but to make a solid foundation for your creative thinking. You have to look at the pros and the cons when you are looking at a event like the Boston Tea Party. Doing different things like observations or having past experiences help

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
