Laura Williams Eng 101 Mike Mansfield November 22, 2010 Draft 1 On January 11, 1991 eleven year old Elissa Self –Braun said goodbye to her parents as she left for the bus stop three blocks from her home. Elissa was headed to Enright Classical Academy School. This was a school for the gifted children, it was a cold rainy day and her bus was scheduled to come at 6:30 a.m. That was the last time Elissa would be seen or heard from. The school called her house at 8:20 a.m. to tell her parents Elissa did not arrive at school. Her parents began to search for her and retrace her steps but they had no luck, no one had seen her so they returned home to call the police. Over the next several days the police canvassed the area looking for anyone or anything they could find that saw Elissa. They followed up with any and all leads and questioned all the witness. On January 15 th hunters were walking through an area near the Black River recreational area along the St. Francis River approximately one hundred and thirty miles from Saint Louis, when
