ThesisAfter a careful analysis of God’s Sovereignty and Man’s free will, it is self-determinism and general providence that work in concert. The Need for the StudyIn a Christian setting the sovereignty of God is the teaching that God has supreme authority and all things are under His control. It is the use of “control” that raises the question does man have free will. It is important to study these views due to the varies perspectives raised dealing with the Sovereignty of God in view of Man’s free will. Each perspective that is presented tends to yield a different result on how one will live life. As well as does mankind’s choices really effect the course in life and their development throughout it. As it relates to free-will there are many views that are argued from both theological and psychological circles. Many views on free will center around human responsibility when it comes to their actions, is this determinism or self-determinism. Also, does man’s free will only come into play when making the choice of accepting Jesus Christ or not. The procedure of the studyIn the discussion of human free will there are three positions that have been presented: determinism, indeterminism, and self- determinism.
