Ethic Behavior Even though a person’s genetics can influence their actions, people are ultimately responsible for their own behavior because people have the power to choose right and wrong and people can reason. People are ethically responsible for their own behavior regardless of circumstance, barring the crazy outliers that may have deep seated psychological issues, but even then they could be held to their own ethics. There are ethics that are unique to each individual person and ethics that pertain to society. Taking society’s ethics out of the picture for a moment and just focus on the individual, that person will have a set of ethics and belief patterns. This person will live their life according to this standard even if it is against the norm of society. So if a person’s performs an act of kindness or violence that person has done this action in their own mind for good or for evil. There is no one else to blame for their action. They
