If you apply for a job you are required to take a drug test so I feel there is no difference between doing a drug test for welfare applicant and a job applicant. There are some people receiving food stamps that are not drug user some will sell his or her stamps for cash to pay bills or pay Christmas present for his or her child. So the real concern would be how to stop fraudulent use of food stamps by all not just drug abusers....
