Introduction It takes the collaboration of the community and the human services department working together to end or minimize the number of families that are left homeless because of the economic conditions. The previous President of the United States of America left the country in shambles before leaving the office of the presidency. Through the human service department and the community continues to collaborate with financial and volunteer resources, the number of families without stable dwelling can be eliminated or at least minimized. Turning abandoned homes into a livable homes with no more than two families per dwelling. The thought of helping others out that may be going through a rough time is both satisfying and reward it also gives one a sense of self pride that he or she are able to help others who may be less fortunate. Problem to be address The problem causing many people to find themselves without stable dwelling is the economy. Many families have found themselves being laid off. The unemployment compensation benefits helps, but in most cases it does not cover the cost of the mortgage along with the other basic necessities needed. Many families have found that it is a difficult having to choose and decide which necessity is most important at the moment. Many families have faced mortgage foreclosures because of the subprime lending. The demographics is facing everyone there is just as many white Americas as there are black Americans being laid off. The unemployment rate for white collar workers is just as high as it is for blue collar workers. School system and bus transportation were the highest of all mass laid off in April 2011. The reason I would like to address the homeless issue is because it has become a major problem in our society and there is

no color barrier when it comes to homeless people. Anyone can become a victim to this major epidemic of being homeless. The timeline for reducing, the homeless population and decreasing the unemployment rate getting more Americans back into the workforce and into a stable
