Interactionism What influence does culture have on personality? Culture can influence the way a person talk to others, how he or she may eat or the way he or she may think about things in general. Culture also plays a part in how a person dress and hoe he or she treat his or her mate. People born in the South are more likely to address elders as sir or ma. People raise in the north may see say yes sir or no ma as a sign of disrespect. Do you see a person’s reaction to something as separate from social experience? No most people react to situations based on his or her personal experience.
