Case Analysis ABC, Inc. 2 Introduction In dealing with a business scenario in which communication is a critical factor to the success of the individuals and company, the roles of each participant must be fully analyzed. An examination of the situation can help determine the responsibilities of the parties involved and find if there are any critical issues. In this specific case there are both communicational and business problems in three various relationships shared by Robbins in the form of Monica Carrolls, the trainees he hired, and Joe from the technology department. Determining an appropriate plan of action for this case will show that communication is an integral component for all business activities and if it is not present, the long-term viability of the organization will be placed in a vulnerable position. Background The specific case explains the scenario of Carl Robbins, who is a recruiting manager for ABC Inc. He has hired 15 new trainees to be placed under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Monica Carrolls. While Robbins has ensured Carrols that the trainees will be ready by a specific date, he has found that the necessary paperwork and pre-employment designated to the trainees have not been completed. As well, he has discovered that the training center for the trainees has already been reserved by a member of the technology services team and will not be available for the training dates. Robbins must now determine a course of action moving forward to deal with the various issues at hand. A few problems are apparent with the relationship they share and how they go about completing their work related tasks. Robbins has jeopardized the immediate future of Carrolls’ career by stating that he would have the trainees ready by the specified date. Based on this information given well in advance, it can be assured that Carrolls has already made future plans of how the incorporate the trainees into future projects and that they are necessary for success on the tasks she has assigned them to. Now, with the trainees not being available, Carrolls must determine a plan for the future without them. This could cause
