Diversity in products Along with Coca-Cola, the company’s flagship product that is recognized as the world’s most valuable brand; CCE’s portfolio encompasses a broad range of regular and zero calorie beverage categories including energy drinks, still and sparkling waters, juices, sports drinks, juice drinks, coffee-based beverages and teas. CCE has continually enhanced their portfolio with innovative brand extensions and new products. For example, in 2009 they expanded their energy portfolio through distribution of Monster brands, glaceau brands such as smart water, vitamin water, vitamin energy, Schweppes, and Abbey Well water in Great Britain. Coca-Cola Enterprises' extensive brand portfolio includes the best, most popular beverage brands in the world. CCE’s top five brands include, Coca-Cola, Diet Coke/Coke Light, Fanta brands, Coca- Cola Zero, and Capri Sun. ("The best brands," May) In an industry full of choices PepsiCo, Inc. is also an industry leader with 19 mega brands that each generated $1 billion or more in 2010 in annual retail sales estimated to be worldwide retail sales in the billions. They measure the quality of their brands by their ability to satisfy the thirst of people everywhere. So PepsiCo’s goal has been to continuously evolve their beverages to meet the unique taste preferences of customers in the communities where they live. Pepsi co has divided its product lines into three segments, Fun-for-You which includes favorites like Pepsi, Starbucks bottled ice coffee, Lays and of course Doritos; Next they have the Better-for-You foods these are foods and beverages that have low levels of total fat, saturated fat, sodium and/or added sugar that are in line with global dietary intake recommendations. Included in this category are products such as baked snacks with lower-fat content and beverages with fewer or no calories and less added sugar; Finally there is the Good-for-You foods which are foods and beverages that deliver positive nutrition through the
