EE240-A2-2010 Assignment #2 Due October 4, 2010. Problems 1 to 4 are for practice only – do not hand in solutions for these but keep them to compare with the solutions posted later. Only hand in a solution for the problem at the end. 1. Find V 0 in this circuit using the current divider concept. Reduce the resistors using series and parallel equivalents. Redrawing the circuit might help you to see what resistors are in parallel. (hint: move one contact point of the 6k resistor.) 2. Use nodal analysis to find V 0 in the circuit below. Use KCL at the top node (V 0 ) assuming the bottom node is the reference. 3. Use nodal analysis to find V 1 and V 0 in the circuit below . Re V 0 Ref node, V = 0 f node, V = 0 V 1 V 0 4. Find the power absorbed by the 10k Ω resistor by finding V 0 . Use Nodal Analysis at the top node. The voltage-dependent current is V X /2k Ω where V X is the voltage drop across the 3k Ω .
