The way people nowadays refer to race as the color of one’s complexion but that means race categorizes people within the world to a certain creed or descent so to believe that the term race is to simply put as a word to place people amongst those like themselves. It proves that people choose not to look beyond what their eyes see on a daily but based off of what they know from the past or what they believe they have gained the knowledge to know. Now ethnicity is a completely different word that people misconstrued with the term race but to me, ethnicity is belonging to a specific culture or different background with different views. No, it does not mean that you have to stick to that culture or background because it is all that you know but it gives you a chance to view your aspect of the human population as a

I believe that these concepts are important to the United States society because it shows that us as Americans, are able to come together as one big mixture and notice who are different in many ways allowing us to see eye to eye on certain things which was never thought of to make the world that we live in a better place for us but also for those who are to come after us. Many people still deny the fact that prejudice still exists. With our past there was times of slavery and a whole bunch of wars but no matter what we still belong to different backgrounds, cultural groups, and many different views on life. Yet we as Americans still live together on one place called earth....
