Running head: MATCHING Language Style Matching Language style matching is an important information study about verbal behaviors. They will be using language to predict calculating verbal analysis as a function of words. This study was published in a Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. They found that people who speak in similar styles are more compatible. Using this study to focus on words called “function words”, words like; the, a, be, anything, that, will, and him. The study, says co-author James Pennebaker of the University of Texas, indicates,“function words” are social and put social skills to use. For example, if I was talking about an article that was coming out, one would know what the article means”.
