Is Jesus the way? Is Jesus the son of God? Will Jesus pay in full for our sins? These questions are extremely important to the Christian thought. One would need to investigate all these answers. One way to find the answers are to look at the claim Jesus made about being God. Another is the answer to the birth of Jesus. The last is the answer to the resurrection of Jesus. These directions will give anyone the undeniable truths to the questions. The Bible is the evidence of all of these answers. There is not mystery in God, he has told us how, when, and where we will meet him. He is awaiting all of his children in his kingdom. II. Jesus’ Claim to be God The course concept of Jesus’ claim is the “Role and Significance of Christian doctrine.” (Goard, 2011). The Christian doctrine is derived from the Bible. In the Bible, the role of Christ and his significance was laid out well before he was born. The very doctrine we as Christians follow is derived from the Bible itself. The doctrine is in the truth of the Bible and all its contents. In The Deity of Christ gives way for the many characteristics of Christ’s entitlement. In The Names of Christ also reflects the very nature of Jesus’s being God. He is noted as the second part in the Trinity. In the names given upon him and the names he said, speaks to the claim itself that he is God. Jesus demonstrated his claim as well. The Bible holds the key to Jesus’ claim. The Bible predicts the arrival of Jesus’ birth and that he will be Godin the flesh of man. The Bible has its authority and the word of God tells us that Jesus is who he claimed to be. There are many instances where Jesus claimed to be God. He also claimed to be God by his divine work he did. His behavior is also his claim to being God. Christ lived a life of divine presence, because he is God.
