After redistricting all are up for reelection, and then draw lots to determine who serves a full term, and whish half serves 2 years so that half is up for reelection every 2 years 2. Sessions of Legislature a. Regular sessions i. Begin the 2 nd Tuesday in jan in odd-numbered years and run 140 days b. Special sessions i. Can be called by the Governor at any time for a particular purpose. Can only act on laws relating to that purpose 3. Compensation a. Very low salary for part time legislature 4. Presiding Officers a.
