PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION 2 Assignment: Prejudice and Discrimination Article People travel all the time, to you think they ever wanted to visit another country but not sure if it is actually a place people can or should visit, is there tourism in that specific country? What are the various cultures? Is there prejudice and discrimination towards outsiders? In the next paragraphs, information will be provided with everything that may be necessary to know before visiting Indonesia. Indonesia is between Asia and Australia with more than 18,000 islands, many of which are uninhabited. The larger islands of Java, Kalimantan, Irian Jaya, Sumatra, and Sulawesi home to most of the population base (World Atlas, n.d.). The cultures of the inner islands are more homogeneous, with only four major cultural groups: the Sudanese, in West Java, the Javanese, in Central and East Java, the Madurese, on Madura and in East Java, and the Balinese, on Bali. The outer islands have hundreds of ethno linguistic groups (Indonesia, n.d.). The largest ethnic group in Indonesia is the Javanese, they account for 41% of the population.
