Numerical Linear Algebra for Signals, Systems and Control MAD 5932-04 and CIS 5930-10 Details Time and Place: 499 Dirac Library, 1:25 PM - 2:15 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays Instructor: K. A. Gallivan (5-0306, 476 Dirac Science Library, [email protected]) Office Hours: 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and meetings by appoint- ment as needed Prerequisites: programming ability, introductory level knowledge of basic tasks in signals and sytems, familiarity with basic numerical linear algebra algorithms for the solution of dense linear systems of equations and dense eigenvalue problems. Grades: Homework 40%, midterm 30% and final 30 %. Homework will include programming assignments where appropriate. Homework other than programming will be graded based on effort and detailed solutions will be provided. Class notes will be available to the class via the web (follow the teaching linking from http://www.csit.fsu.edu/ ~ gallivan) and relevant papers will be distributed. Students who do not have an SCS account should request one via the new account application
