Running head: “NOW HUG AND GIVE HIM A KISS ON THE CHEEK” 2 “Now you go give yo brother a hug and kiss right now.” I remember growing up with my brothers, especially my younger brother and myself. We would always be rough housing an then it would get to serious and out of hand. My mom would always let us finish fighting and afterwards, when we were still angry at each other, she would make us go apologize to one another and hug and kiss on the cheek. We both hated it, I surely could not stand it, it made me even angrier. As time went on I realized the reason why my mom make us do it and how it helped developed my secure attachment style. If my mom had never made my brother and myself make up right after the fight when we were both still at the height of our emotions we would probably be more dismissive and less secure. Sense my mom made us make up right away, although it made me more upset, it
