Unformatted text preview: EE141 Principles of Feedback Control (Winter 2010) Solutions to Homework 7 In this homework, you need to show the asymptotes with your own sketch. Only approxi- mation is needed. (So your sketch does not have to look exactly like Matlabs plot.) The Matlab plots are only used for verification purpose in this solution. Problem 6.5 (f) Magnitude: The gain at the very beginning is about 32dB at = 0 . 1. The slope of the asymptotes are -20, -60, -20 (dB/dec). Phase: Starting phase: -90. Ending phase: -90. Both of the following plot should be considered correct. The first is based on hand sketch, and the second one is Matlabs result. We do not distinguish angles up to 360 degrees.-150-100-50 50 100 150 200 Magnitude (dB) 10-1 10 10 1-270-225-180-135-90 Phase (deg) Bode Diagram Frequency (rad/sec) 1-150-100-50 50 100 150 200 Magnitude (dB) 10-1 10 10 1-90-45 45 90 Phase (deg) Bode Diagram Frequency (rad/sec) Figure 1: Bode plot for 6.5(f) Problem 6.7 (b) Magnitude: The gain at the very beginning is about -1.94dB atThe gain at the very beginning is about -1....
