It also underlines the importance of knowing the demographics and logistics of war, avoiding dangerous situation, maximizing the benefit of each course of action, minimizing loss of life and equipment. The author advocates victory without engaging the enemy in battle. The discourse was utilized by Zierra, the novellas main character.
