Unformatted text preview: Global Warming, A Moral Issue? Global Warming is the increase in the Earths near surface air and ocean temperature. Global Warming has been a major issue for many years and was brought to the forefront by Al Gore when he made a documentary called The Inconvenient Truth. Al Gores documentary really brought the truth about Global Warming to the masses and made people realize how big an issue it really is. Global Warming is caused by the burning of fossil fuels by cars and factories that pour toxic chemicals into the earths atmosphere and causes the air and ocean temperatures to rise. Is Global Warming a moral issue? I believe that it is because it effects the entire global community. A few examples of how using fossil fuels affect us is the recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the clean-up effort that has been on going to protect the ocean wildlife, beaches, and fishing jobs that many in the area rely on for income to support their families. Global Warming threatens all aspects of life from habitat for species to human health. And their families....
