And even though I do not need to give a fourth reason, I think a government might try to limit a unions power is because of the threat of a strike by a particular union and the effect it may take on society as a whole. Some examples of this would be the strike of the grocery stores a few years back and the strike we had of the MTA workers. Both had a huge impact on our society. I personally did not enjoy working for a union. I worked for Disneyland and Stater Brothers and would be happy to never join a union again. Yes, we got discounts for tickets.blahblah.blah, but other than that I never saw anything good coming from the union. I only noticed the amount of money they subtracted from my checks on a weekly basis and the threats of being let go if I did not pay my dues on time....
