The product life cycle proved to be an interesting topic. I now have a better understanding of the changes that a product undergoes as it travels through the life cycle. For example, I examined Ipod; Apple’s Ipod is in the market maturity stage of the product life cycle. Although still very popular, the Ipod is no longer a new product. Competition for the Ipod has entered the field and raced for profits. As Ipod continues through the product life cycle, Apple will most likely enter into sales decline;

Apple has added several new models to their lineup of Ipods to include the Nano, Ipod classic, and Ipod touch.
