I apologize in advance for this being last minute. This week’s post was exceptionally difficult for me to do in light of some very recent events I dealt with regarding my mother in law and her ongoing mental illness. My wife usually works with me on my psychology work because of her deep interest in the subject and as we read over the link about Sadia Dugally it brought forth such emotion from her in regards to her mother’s recent suicide attempt that I had to step back and be a supportive husband while trying to contemplate what mental illness I wanted to use on this week’s post. I have several mental illnesses that have had a direct impact on my life in one way or another either that a loved one suffers from or have experienced myself at some point, but for this post I am choosing to use Borderline Personality disorder. My mother in law was given this diagnosis after we found her clinically dead in her home a few weeks ago. This illness would be difficult to deal with because of the impact it would have one your ability to maintain happy healthy relationships due to such extreme emotional instability and mood changes.
