Lab 8 Transgenic Arabidopsis 1. You will be given a tube with a population of Arabidopsis seed. 2. Using a pipet, add 1ml of the bleach solution (1.5% bleach, 0.02% (v/v) Triton X-100) 3. Put the tube on the shaker for 20 minutes at room temp. 4. Allow the seeds to settle to the bottom of the tube. Using the pipet, remove the supernatant. 5. Wash the seeds with sterile water. Add 1ml to the tube, mix up the seed & allow them to settle. Remove the supernatant and repeat 2 more times.

Wrap the seeds with parafilm and store at 4 C for 48 hours. 9. Transfer to growth chamber (20 C) 10.
