MATH 138 Assignment 11 NOT TO BE HANDED IN Our course ends with an introduction to parametrized curves. This material is covered in Stewart, Sections 10.1 and 10.2. Section 10.1 is intended to get you familiar with the notion of a parametrized curve. The key ideas in Section 10.2 are those of tangent (direction vector), and arc-length (distance traveled). While the notion of surface area starting on page 635 is interesting, it is not included in our course. Time constraints prevent us from having you submit an assignment on this mate- rial.
