Running Head: Marketing Strategies Abstract A solid marketing strategy focuses on our long-term objectives. We’ll market our already existing line of products but will also be mindful of the future development of newer, more advanced products. “Marketing” as a term is relatively new. It emerged sometime during the late 1940’s; not long after the home television became common. Major companies saw this new technology as a cost-efficient means of mass advertising. This is only one of the many techniques a company may choose to employ in order to make people want their products.

Running Head: Marketing Strategies What Makes People Want To Spend Money? Businesses carefully studied each other, themselves, and their consumers in order to develop plans of marketing or marketing strategies . These strategies followed to insure a company’s longevity in the mist of limited resources, fierce competition, economic catastrophies, or consumer disinterest. There are many other variables that effect company strategy. For instance, companies usually cator to customer spending. The average consumer’s spending habits are not very predictable.
