Letter to a European Philosopher 2 Dear Soren Kierkegaard, The reason that I am writing this letter to you is because I want to share my feelings, thoughts and emotions to you regarding your work. First let me begin by expressing my appreciation for all that you have given to the science of philosophy. I have had the honor of learning a lot of information from your work. It is known that you have a very strong belief in God. In some of your work, you wrote that believing in God and placing God before everything else your life is of the utmost importance because this is the only way to escape dread and despair (Moore & Bruder, 2008). With all due respect, I would have to disagree with this concept because I honestly do not think that not believing in God will cause a lifetime of dread and despair. I argue this statement because even a person, who believes in God, can still be sad and live a life full of hopelessness. It is very important for people to love and
