Unformatted text preview: Macharia Funches Initially when I joined epics I literally had absolutely no idea what to expect, but as soon as I attended my first opening meeting with the WCGI(Wabash Greenbush Company Incorporated) team I knew right away that I was where I needed to be. During the first few weeks of being with EPICS I was very adamant about being a part of the shim cart team however, once my team started to get to work, we quickly realized the enormous amount of work which needed to be done on the cart. Initially I was very disappointed when I saw the cart that I would be working on during the semester ahead. I distinctly remember saying to myself this was a mistake. I couldnt see how we were supposed to take a rickety wooden cart which would literally fall apart whenever it was moved and transform it into a sturdy, easily maneuverable piece of equipment which could be loaded with about one hundred and twenty pounds. Soon my mentality changed from dismay and doubt to desire to finish what the previous team had started....
