MAT 151 Project For this project, you are to find a topic that interests you and use inferential statistics (i.e. hypothesis tests and confidence intervals) to analyze it and write up a report to hand in. You are to include five steps in your report: 1. Statement of the goals of the experiment. 2. A detailed description of how the sample was collected. 3. A log of the results (i.e. the raw data). 4. An analysis of the data, including a hypothesis test and a confidence interval. 5. A summary of the results, including any possible methodological problems. Example Doug performed a study to investigate whether the type of darts he used, “bar darts” or his personal darts, influenced how many rounds he required to complete the game “301.” 1. Statement of the goals of the experiment : Essentially covered in the previous sentence. 2. A detailed description of the how the sample was collected : I played 20 games using the bar darts and 20 games using my own darts, and logged how many rounds it
