Introduction The object of research advocated the mass consciousness of the population of Krasnoyarsk Territory. Accordingly, the object of study - the ratio of the population of Krasnoyarsk Territory in different media. The purpose of the study was formulated as follows: the study of the impact of regional media in the mass consciousness of the inhabitants of the Krasnoyarsk Territory as a basis for the concept of information policy. To achieve this goal has the following research objectives: 1. Study of awareness of respondents about the activities of the authorities and the impact that their preferred media. 2. Identify the main sources of information for different groups of life in the region (ranking the influence of mass media); 3. The study of public confidence in the information disseminated through the media (rating of confidence in the media). 4. Defining the image of the journalist in popular consciousness. 5. Image analysis of regional media in the mass consciousness of Kosovo. 6. The study of basic value orientations of people in the region as a basis for the perception of information policy pursued by the media. 7. Determination of the value orientation of the major regional media. Methods: formalized interviews and socio-psychological testing, content analysis of open questions. Specifics of the approach implemented in this study is to analyze the mass consciousness of the residents of the Krasnoyarsk Krai at two levels: a) the level of social stereotypes that are highly mobile and have little influence on social activities of people; b) the level is much more stable, but there is little conscious representations that are directly related to the actual behavior of people.
